Lesson plans help you organise how you will teach others and give you a guide you can follow when you deliver training. It is a good idea to write your own lesson plan before you deliver any training. The lesson plan should be appropriate for the specific group, context and subject you are delivering.
When you are beginning as a trainer the more detail in your lesson plan the better. As you become a more experienced trainer you can put less detail in your plan.
We have provided some sample lesson plans for you to get some ideas. It is always a good idea to start with some warm up and introduction exercises so that the group can get to know eachother and you before starting the training activities.
