back Sharing your video

It is now very easy to share your videos on the internet using free video-hosting sites such as You Tube, Google video, Vimeo, Teacher Tube, and there are hundreds more. All the sites work the same way. To upload videos you need to sign up and get a username and password, then you can log in, click upload and follow the prompts.

Sometimes schools and work places block video sharing sites such as You Tube because of inappropriate content. Power Up Plus uses Teacher Tube which is highly moderated. This means that it is suitable for young people to watch.

Sharing your video on the internet can reach a huge potential audience. In 2007 the Chooky dancers from Galiwin'ku became internationally famous when their Zorba the Greek video attracted 40,000 internet viewers in a few days. They have now reached over a million viewers, and they have been invited to dance at festivals and events all over the world.
